Andrew Douglas
Andrew has worked full time in law since 1990 before completing his law degree at the University of Queensland and being admitted as a Queensland Solicitor in 1992.
He set up his Morayfield office from the existing premises in 1995 and hooked it up with all modern technology available to his Breakfast Creek office which is now located at Hendra.
He has nearly 30 years experience in property, wills, estates and commercial matters such as leases, loans and business transfers and works with other specialist solicitors and sometimes barristers if he can’t avoid related disputes.
Luke Shumack
Luke is a solicitor who has been with us for nearly 2 years now.
He has come a long way since he started helping Andrew and Angela with virtually all their files and conducting more and more matters on his own. He can even conduct a conveyancing file from A – Z so he can fill in for Angela when required.
He also conducts all wills, estates, EPOA’s and other commercial matters with Andrew in his efficient, patient and happy manner on a full time basis.
His IT skills are excellent so he can improve his efficiency further and spread it to the whole office.
Angela Rushe
Angela has worked as a senior conveyancing clerk in the Brisbane area for decades now and commenced working at our firm full time in 2012.
You cannot get a more experienced conveyancing clerk in their prime and cannot survive in the legal industry for that period of time without being competent.
She is the first point of contact and works with Andrew for all sorts of property transactions including residential purchases or sales, subdivisions, off the plan and commercial conveyancing.
Despite all of that experience and unpredictably urgent workload, she is always pleasant to deal with according to our clients whether they’re a first home owner or a large property developer.
Sherril Baigrie
Sherril has also worked in the legal industry for decades including over two decades since 1997 as the bookkeeper, office manager and works with Luke as a relief conveyancer or paralegal.
She has been part of the furniture or at least the glue that has held the firm together all those years including teaching any new staff our procedures and assisting with the ebbs and flows and evolution of the office.
That continuity has been very important for the office, clients and staff alike as well as her ability to deal with any office crisis with a smile on her face.
Chantelle Marchese
Chantelle has recently graduated as a law student and will hopefully complete her transition from university to being a solicitor soon.
She has been assisting Luke three days a week with anything he can give her from wills and EPOA’s to answering the telephone etc.
Her responsibility is increasing dramatically during this sharp learning curve at this stage of her career from office technology to the law which are hard to separate now.
